white, red, black
Chris Denton’s prints and drawings are intricate, minutely observed and exquisitely rendered. Chris continues to use the dahlia motif as he explores the idea of the material object in space, restricting his colour palette to “white, red, black – a universal narrative.” All of his works combine a love of intellectual enquiry with objects of great beauty - an aesthetic fusing of science, nature, spirituality and philosophy. Chris Denton has exhibited widely and received numerous awards both nationally and internationally since his first show in the UK in 1969. Chris' work is represented in many collections including the National Gallery of Australia, Parliament House, Association Musee d'Art Contemporain (Chamalieres, France) and Tama Art University (Japan).
