Dan Power, winner of the 2016 Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize, Emerging Artist Award, returns to Adelaide to present his first solo exhibition with Hill Smith Gallery. The exhibition features a selection of etched skulls (including a bull, horse, rabbit and fox) as well as highly detailed pen-and-ink drawings, and vibrant, variegated watercolours.
Power sources animal skulls and etches images on to the skulls of species that are on the IUCN Red List of threatened or endangered species, including the night parrot and the Leadbeater's possum, in an attempt to highlight the importance of biodiversity
